Dr. David-Alexandre Gros
Dr. David-Alexandre Gros has served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Eledon Pharmaceuticals since September 2020, leading development of the anti-CD40L antibody tegoprubart to enable transplantation without conventional calcineurin-inhibitor immunosuppression. Under his leadership Eledon has advanced an investigator-initiated islet transplant trial in type 1 diabetes at the University of Chicago Medicine that enrolled 12 adults and reported that all 12 patients became insulin independent, with no signs of graft rejection. Before Eledon he co-founded and led Imbria Pharmaceuticals as CEO and Chairman, and previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Neurocrine Biosciences, Chief Business Officer of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, and Chief Strategy Officer of Sanofi. He trained at McKinsey and Company in their Life Sciences program and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
