Company

DiogenX

DiogenX is developing DGX-01, a first-in-class recombinant protein that modulates Wnt/β-catenin signaling to regenerate a patient's own insulin-producing beta cells. It is positioned as a disease-modifying therapy for type 1 diabetes rather than a cell transplant. In preclinical models the approach increased functional human beta cells and both prevented and reversed diabetes. The program is in IND-enabling studies ahead of first-in-human trials. The company was founded in 2020 on the beta-cell regeneration research of Patrick Collombat.
