Egle Therapeutics

Egle Therapeutics develops regulatory T cell-directed immunotherapies, including engineered IL-2 muteins designed to selectively expand Tregs and restore immune tolerance in autoimmune disease. The approach applies to type 1 diabetes, and Egle is a Breakthrough T1D Fund portfolio company. Its lead autoimmune candidate, EGL-003, a next-generation Treg-selective IL-2 mutein, entered a Phase 1 healthy-volunteer study in late 2025 with atopic dermatitis as the first target. Egle is not T1D-focused. The company, founded in 2020, applies its Treg platform across both autoimmune disease and oncology, where it instead aims to deplete tumor-infiltrating Tregs.
