Jaguar Gene Therapy

Jaguar Gene Therapy is developing JAG301, an AAV gene therapy for type 1 diabetes designed to deliver the PAX4 gene and transdifferentiate a patient's pancreatic alpha cells into new insulin-producing beta cells. The program is in preclinical development and has support from the T1D Fund of Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and Samsung. Jaguar is not T1D-exclusive; the company's pipeline also includes AAV programs for severe genetic diseases such as Phelan-McDermid syndrome under JAG201, which has reached the clinic.
