Blue Circle Health

Blue Circle Health gives adults with type 1 diabetes a free, fully virtual course of clinical care, education, and peer support. It is aimed at people in underserved and rural communities who fall through the gaps of ordinary specialist care. Participants work with its clinicians, educators, and dietitians over six months, and the program is designed to sit alongside a person's existing medical team rather than replace it. It is funded entirely by philanthropy, starting with a 45 million dollar grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. It opens state by state and reached 16 states by October 2025. The nonprofit is led by chief executive Leonard D'Avolio, and it works only on type 1 diabetes and only with adults.
