David Panzirer

David Panzirer is a Trustee of the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and, as the parent of two children with type 1 diabetes, the driving force behind the Trust's Type 1 Diabetes Program. That program grew into one of the largest private funders of T1D research and care, directing on the order of $50 million a year to research, treatment, and services. Building collaborative partnerships across private philanthropy, industry, academia, and government, he focuses resources on bold, needs-driven projects that reflect the lived experiences of people with T1D.
