Jill Dine

Jill Dine is executive director of the Chicago Diabetes Project, the islet-based cure effort for type 1 diabetes. She joined in 2017 to grow its fundraising, event planning, and social media. She first met Jose Oberholzer and his team shortly after her son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2011, when she and her husband set out to seek a cure. That search led them to the project. Her work includes organizing the group's Chicago and New York marathon fundraising campaigns and drawing on her relationships across the diabetes community.
